 This online directory provides a quick overview of photographically worthwhile extragalactic objects of the northern sky. You will receive numerous object-related information on 910 image fields, mostly in 25'x38' angle format.
The directory presents you with the opportunity to view these image fields directly (follow the links in the 3rd column of the directory). If you want to know more, another link (in the 1st column) will help you, which retrieves the exact coordinates of the data within a radius of 10' (around the center of the image) from the SIMBAD astronomical database. A wonderful instrument for object identification, together with the Interactive Aladin Lite view image field that appears there.The image fields are an extract of many thousands of sighted image files of galaxies from the Digitized Sky Survey (POSS II) available on the Internet, which is an undertaking that has taken years! The digital amateur photographer today, even with relatively modest equipment, has access to an incredible number of possibilities. The depth and resolution of the images can almost reach, and in the best case, even exceed the POSS images! Get informed, even if your picture format is completely different. This new version was created after reviewing the Arp catalog and all Abell galaxy clusters, and contains 199 additional image fields, as well as much more precise object information.

 The freely usable data are mainly taken from the SIMBAD astronomical database, operated at CDS, Strasbourg, France, the NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database - NED and the NGC/IC-Project, index by Dr. Wolfgang Steinicke.

Este directorio en línea proporciona una rápida visión general de los objetos extra galácticos fotográficamente valiosos en el mapa celeste del hemisferio norte. Con él, usted obtendrá una basta información relacionadas con 910 campos de imágenes, principalmente en el formato de ángulo de 25´x38´. Las áreas de exposición es una recopilación de miles de imágenes de galaxias disponibles en internet gracias a Digitized Sky Survey (POSS II). El arduo trabajo de un año. Hoy en día el fotógrafo aficionado cuenta con una variedad increíble de recursos, que incluso con instrumentos relativamente modestos podría obtener fotos estupendas. La profundidad y la resolución de las imágenes casi se pueden comparar con las imágenes obtenidas por POSS, ¡y en el mejor de los casos incluso superarlas! ¡Obtenga información incluso si el formato de su imagen es completamente diferente! Dieses Online-Verzeichnis ermöglicht einen schnellen Überblick über fotografisch lohnende extragalaktische Objekte des nördlichen Himmels. Sie erhalten zahlreiche objektbezogene Angaben zu 910 Bildfeldern, meist im Winkelformat 25´x38´.
Das Verzeichnis beschenkt Sie mit der Möglichkeit, diese Bildfelder direkt anzusehen (folgen Sie den Links im Verzeichnis 3. Spalte). Wenn Sie mehr erfahren möchten, hilft Ihnen ein weiterer Link (in der 1. Spalte), der koordinatengenau die Daten im Umkreis von 10´(um Bildmitte) aus der astronomischen Datenbank SIMBAD abruft. Ein wunderbares Instrument zur Objektidentifizierung, zusammen mit dem dort aufgehenden Bildfeld Interactive Aladin Lite view. Die Aufnahmefelder sind ein Extrakt aus vielen tausend gesichteten Bilddateien von Galaxien des im Internet verfügbaren Digitized Sky Survey (POSS II), ein jahrelanges Unterfangen! Dem digitalen Amateurfotografen steht heute, selbst mit relativ bescheidenem Instrumentarium, eine unglaubliche Vielfalt offen, die den POSS-Aufnahmen kaum nachsteht, ja diese im günstigsten Fall sogar übertreffen kann! Informieren Sie sich, auch wenn Ihr Bildformat ein ganz anderes ist! Diese Neufassung entstand nach Durchsicht des Arp - Kataloges und aller Abell -Galaxienhaufen und enthält 199 zusätzliche Bildfelder, sowie wesentlich genauere Objektangaben.
